Train with a friend, not in front of one
Invite one person, and you can swap personal bests and favourite exercises. That's the whole feature. No feed of who trained today, no streak on display, nobody watching whether you showed up — because the moment an app can see you skip a day, training stops being about you and starts being about not looking bad.
The promise: we show what you did, never whether you showed up
fitn3s Friends has no activity feed. There is nothing anywhere that lists who trained today, who has a streak going, or when anyone last opened the app. The only date shown on a friend's profile is "Friends since <month, year>" — when you connected, not when either of you last trained.
That's a deliberate line, not an oversight. A feature that shows you missed a day turns training into a performance for an audience. This one only ever shows what you accomplished, on your own terms, to the people you chose.
How inviting works
Open Friends and tap "Invite a friend". fitn3s builds a link and a short message — "I've been doing short daily workouts on fitn3s — come train with me" — that you send however suits you: your phone's share sheet, your own email app, or just a copied link dropped into a chat.
Each link is good for one friend, for 14 days, and stops working the moment it's used. Want to invite more people? Send a new link each time — up to 10 open invites out at once, so nobody accidentally floods a group chat.
What friends can see
Once you're connected, two categories exist — and both are off by default, per person you decide to share with only in aggregate, not individually:
- Records— your personal best on each exercise, shown head-to-head against a friend's (“42 vs 35”), with a small badge for who's ahead.
- Fit taste— the exercises you've rated 👍 or 👎, plus a rough agreement score once you've both rated a handful of the same ones.
During a workout, if it's relevant, you might see one quiet line under an exercise — a friend's best you haven't reached yet, or that a friend loves or hates the move you're doing. That line is the only place sharing shows up mid-session, and it never mentions timing.
What friends never see
No matter what you share, a friend never sees your email address, your streak, when or how often you train, or your Body Fitness Profile. Those categories don't exist as shareable settings — they simply aren't part of what Friends transmits, ever.
Opt-in, and it only ever goes both ways
Sharing is a global setting, not something you configure per friend, and it's reciprocal: you see a friend's records only if you've also switched Records on for yourself, and the same for taste. Turn a category off and it disappears from every friend's view of you immediately — and from your view of theirs.
Change your mind about a specific friendship instead? Removing a friend is a two-step confirm on their profile. No reason needed, and you can always send them a fresh invite later.
It's free
Friends isn't a Premium feature and never has an upgrade prompt attached to it. Invite a friend, share what you want, on the plan you already have.
Common questions
Is this a social feed inside fitn3s?
No. There's no feed, no leaderboard, and no list of who's training right now. The only thing you can look at is one friend's profile, and only the parts they've chosen to share with you.
Can my friend see if I skipped a day?
No, and this is deliberate — nowhere in Friends shows whether or when you trained. No streaks, no last-active time, no "trained today" badge. The one date shown anywhere is "Friends since <month, year>", which is when you connected, not when you last opened the app.
What can a friend actually see about me?
Only what you turn on in "What I share", and only if they've turned the same thing on back. Records shows your personal best on each exercise, head-to-head against theirs. Fit taste shows the exercises you've given a 👍 or 👎, plus a rough agreement score once you've both rated at least a few of the same ones. Nothing else is visible — not your email, not your streak, not your training schedule, not your Body Fitness Profile.
How does inviting someone work?
Open Friends and tap "Invite a friend" — fitn3s generates a link and drops it into a short message you can send however you like (share sheet, email, or just copy the link). The link works once, for one person, for 14 days. After that, or after it's used, it stops doing anything.
Does fitn3s store my friend's email address to send the invite?
No. The invite is just a link — you send it yourself, through your own messages or email app. fitn3s never asks for or stores an email address for the person you're inviting.
Is this a Premium feature?
No. Friends is free for every account, with no upgrade required.
What happens during a workout if I have friends?
If a friend shares records or taste with you, you might see one small line under an exercise — a friend's best you haven't beaten yet, or a note that they love or hate the same move you're doing. That's the only place it shows up during training, and it only ever names exercises, never anything about when either of you trained.
Can I turn sharing off, or remove a friend?
Both, any time. Toggle Records or Fit taste off in "What I share" and your friends stop seeing that category immediately — sharing is reciprocal, so switching yours off also hides what they'd otherwise see back. Removing a friend is a two-step confirm in their profile, no explanation required.
Start training, then invite whoever you want along for the ride. Nobody sees a thing until you decide to share it.
